Yes, I am new here and just found out about DA from a friend. I'm not really an artist or anything (rather a neuroscience researcher who is terribly pre-occupied with Photoshop and the Cannon Digital Rebel), but WOW! I just commented to her that the whole world of things going on here is sooooo engaging that I get the feeling it could be downright ADDICTIVE! (and it's only been less than two weeks!!) So it's funny you should mention that.

Ironically, after spending a few hours perusing DA, I forced myself to quit for the night and try to get some work done. Actually, your skin fix tutorial caught my eye when I was searching for something totally unrelated on google. It looked worth checking out, and sure enough it leads me right back to deviant art and to your gallery. Ironic, huh?

I was so impressed with your all of your stuff that I couldn't narrow down my thoughts enough to just comment on specific deviations. Because it was so late, I was planning on coming back today to write you a general note to thank you for posting all your deviations, especially the ones you took in Burma on your vacation. If I had to narrow it down, I'd say my favorites are the photos of the monastery and the temples. Outstanding! And I also noticed how nicely you format all of your stuff, with attention to the details of font, image placement/border, shading, etc. It's really elegant work.

So thanks for the welcome! It's been a pleasure to view your stuff. Maybe I'll have a few things to show in my gallery one of these days....
